Tony Hunt: "I started playing in Scrabble tournaments in 1999 and have really enjoyed being a part of the scene. Apart from an annual tournament in Ulladulla and some events organised by a very enthusiastic Nowra/Bomaderry contingent, there is very little in the way of organised Scrabble activities on the South Coast of NSW. I am hoping this will change soon and I am keen to recruit some tournament devotees from the local area. The Narooma Scrabble Club meets in the Narooma Services Club every Thursday afternoon from 1pm - 4.30pm. I try to get along when I can. The games are quite fast, usually 4-5 games are played in the time - and they play according to tournament rules (however, some players might sneak a look in the book if desperate!!). The links below have lots of information about Scrabble tournaments. But if you have any questions, I'd be pleased to help. Happy Scrabbling!"
